From
Tulane:
When
completed, Turchin Stadium will honor one
of our nation’s premier collegiate
baseball programs, and the most loyal and
dedicated fans in the sport. Over the
last several months, our construction team
worked diligently seven days a week to
complete the Turchin project for the 2007
season. Unfortunately, due to extenuating
circumstances, Turchin Stadium is not
ready for competition this spring,
including the C-USA Baseball
Championship. Conference
USA
will determine an alternate site at a
later date. Although our crew made
considerable progress in the construction,
we will not shortchange our outstanding
baseball student-athletes and fans by
opening an incomplete stadium.
Despite
this development, Tulane Athletics will
honor our commitment to all baseball
season ticket holders and Tulane Athletics
Fund (TAF) donors. All gifts made to TAF
prior to the baseball priority seating
deadline will reserve your priority season
tickets for the 2008 season in the new
Turchin Stadium. In addition, Tulane
Athletics will host a Turchin Stadium Open
House later this year for all baseball
season ticket holders and fans. The
Turchin Stadium Open House is an exclusive
opportunity for Tulane Baseball fans to
get the first glimpse of the completed
stadium, including their reserved priority
seats. The Open House will be the first
public event in the new stadium and will
provide all ticket-holders an opportunity
to maintain or enhance their seating prior
to the 2008 season. All Tulane Baseball
season ticket holders will be notified of
their reserved seat locations in Turchin
Stadium as soon as possible, at which time
details on the Turchin Stadium Open House
will be released.
Tickets
for the remainder of the regular season at
Zephyr Field were mailed to season ticket
holders today (4/4/2007).
