NOTES:

The day started overcast and chilly, in the mid 50's.   About the 7th inning, the sun broke out, and made it a little warmer.

A lot of stuff happening at the park today, including about 15 scouts hanging out.   Radar guns were in abundance, and I'm sure that got everyone going.  Most of the guys topped out in the 89-93 range, with each radar gun showing something a little different.   I'm sure we could have an entire discussion on radar guns, their calibration, and the location (and angle) of the radar guns themselves.

Health:

Well, it seems to be that time of the year where we are getting some "tweaks", here and there.  At least 7 or 8 guys have some kind of ailment, with only 1 appearing to be serious (at this time).   One of our Freshman pitchers is apparently going to have TJ surgery next weekend.   One other pitcher is doing rehab on his TJ repaired elbow.   At least 2 outfielders are dealing with shoulder (throwing) issues, and another handful of guys are dealing with hamstring, groin, or other leg issues, and aren't running full speed.  As stated earlier, the only 1 that appears serious at this time, is the TJ surgery scheduled for next week.

On the good side, Freshman Mark Robert is out of his walking cast, and is doing better than expected with his ankle injury.

Correction:

I stand corrected on something we were debating on www.yogwf.com  - Bogusevic is clearly the fastest guy on the team.   We (I) had some debate on short burst speed vs long running, and which guy should be lead off hitter.  After some verbal "spanking" at the park, it appears that 1-2 will probably (can change later) Bogusevic, and then Barket.  Spots 3-6 should be very interesting with Owings, Hamilton, Dini, and the rest of the guys.  One interesting note - if you are look back at where Jones historically plays his Freshman (Aubrey, Cannizaro, Tony G.), look for some of the freshman to back in the 7, 8, or 9 position.

Play by play - up to 8 1/2 innings.  Morgan and Latham pitched after that, but I was taking a break and socializing a little, so no play-by-play.
