About
WaveBaseball.com
WaveBaseball.com was created in February of
2002 by David Browning.
As an avid photographer for many years, I
decided to jump into digital photography, so I
purchased an Olympus C700uz. Needing a
subject to photograph, I decided to take some pictures
of Tulane baseball games. This was a
natural fit, as I have been a season ticket
holder for many years.
My first game, I took about 20 or 30
pictures, and published them on my personal
website. I did this for another 2
games, publishing pictures of each game.
To my surprise, in the first 2 weeks, I had
over 40,000 hits! I decided to move the
pictures from my personal site, and
WAVEBASEBALL.COM was born on February 24,
2002.
UPDATE: February 2004
NEW Canon Digital Rebel is bought.
6.3 Megapixels.
Also, a new personal record is set when
800,000 hits were recorded for February 2004.
Since the inception, over 6,000,000 hits have
been recorded, with 4.5 million of those hits
since April 2003.
Past updates:
It is now October of 2002, and the website celebrated its
1,400,000th hit. I want to thank
all of the Tulane Baseball fans, as this site
could not exist without you.
A NEW CAMERA ARRIVES! - 10/25/2002
A Nikon 5700 - 5 megapixels of
fun! Look for pictures from this
camera on 10/27/2002.
**UPDATE - 01/12/2004
A new camera is planned for late February, or
early March - the new Canon 6MP SLR!
It has now been 2 years, and Wavebaseball.com
is entering its 3rd baseball season.
Last season, this site averaged over 600,000
hits per month. With 2004 season
about to start, l hope to make this season the
best ever. Time permitting, road
trips to Memphis and Birmingham are planned, as
well as, the C-USA Tournament. I would
like to visit Cincy, as I have never been, and I
grew up in Ohio. Flights, and time, will
determine the fate of that road trip. If
time (and finances) permit, a road trip (with
family) is planned for the Cape Cod League this
summer, my first ever visit!
